About Leogardo Calumpang
Leogardo Calumpang was a landowner and sugar planter. He was gobernadorcillo of Tanjay, Negros Oriental, at least before 1876. His sons Martin and Agapito, and sons-in-law Jose Muñoz and Bernardo Barot were also gobernadorcillos and capitanes municipal of Tanjay. His grandson Pio Banogon was the first presidente municipal of Jimalalud and one of the founders of La Libertad.
