Ben M. Angel notes: No burial location noted, and there is no record of a Hales Abbey in or near Market Drayton. There is, however, a Halesowen Abbey at the village of Halesowen in Shropshire where some of the later generations of her family were buried. Likewise uncertain about the logic surrounding her death location as being at the royally-held Weobley Castle in Herefordshire, but since asserted, will retain until further and better documented information can be ascertained. She was wife of the 2nd Baron Botetourt, but that did not confer the title of Baroness upon her. That honor would be conferred upon her granddaughter, also named Joyce, as female title owner and heiress of the barony (there were no legitimate male heirs at the time of her husband's death).
