About John White
Not the same person as John Whyte of Farnham.
They were probably cousins in some degree, though.
Children of John White named in his father Robert's will: Robert, Richard, John, Margaret and Johanna (left £20 each). John White was still alive at this time but apparently in no need of bequests.
Death date was c. 1470 (IPM "9 Edward IV", probably preceding Oct 3).
[tons of bogus information from Emma Siggins White cleared out]
John Whyte (White), b. 1422 at Swamborne, Hampshire, England. an d. 1470.
John Whyte (White), m. ? to Eleanor Hungerford. [who called herself "Alianor", leading to confusion with various Alice and Agnes Hungerfords.]
Son of Robert Whyte of Yatley, and probably a cousin of John Whyte of Farnham.
NB: his wife survived him, but she only married once, not twice, more (for which proof exists). She cannot have married the Sir William Tyrell who was killed at the battle of Barnet in 1471, because he was already married and his wife (Eleanor Darcy) survived him.
