About John Hyde Runyon
Note: Frequently confused with John Runyon, who also lived in Fayette from 1800-1835, until he moved to Sangamon County, Ill.
Per The Runyon Family compiled by Doris L. (Coriell) Horvath: "Francis Runyon son of John Runyon and Rachel Hyde d/o James Hyde b. 9 Dec 1784; went to Ky with his brother John Hyde Runyon"
John Hyde Runyon died at age 30 on June 27, 1811, in Fayette County, Kentucky. A brief entry in Fayette Will Book B states that "every thing I do possess I give unto my brother Francis Runion."
Given that no wife is listed in the (quite brief) probate record, it's most likely that Patty Barrett was married to a different John Runyon. She apparently lived in Pennsylvania and was the mother of Gerardus B. Runyan.
