About John Power, Convict "Three Bees" 1814
John had been sentenced in Waterford to 7 years’ transportation in August 1813. In December of that year he was taken to Dublin to board a recently built ship, the "Three Bees", which was about to make its maiden voyage. The ship sailed from Dublin to Falmouth in order to pick up English felons, and with a total of 219 convicts aboard set off for Australia on 8 December. Reached Sydney on the 8th May 1814
