• Born about 1472 in Forbes, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
• BIO: John Forbes, 6th Lord Forbes was born before 1477.2 He was the son of William Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes and Lady Christian Gordon.3 He married, firstly, Lady Catherine Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 1st Earl of Atholl and Lady Margaret Douglas.3 He married, secondly, Christian Lundie, daughter of Sir John Lundie of that Ilk and Elizabeth Forrester, before 26 February 1509/10.3 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Barlow before 29 July 1515.1 He died in 1547.2
• He succeeded as the 6th Lord Forbes [S., 1445] in 1493.1
