He was a private in the Continental Army. His stone is somewhere in this cemetery and recently found by FAG contributor Thanks. Many stones are missing or can no longer be read. The church has placed a stone at the entrance of the Hamilton Church Cemetery honoring eight of their men who fought for our independence in the Revolutionary War.
