Maak 'n gesamentlike testament as Jan Jantz; Sy boedel gedateer 26 Mei 1702 dui aan day hy 'n suksesvolle boer was.

i've changed the spelling of Jansz from Janse to correspond with that of his wife and children. Marie Russaar(Rossouw) married to Jan van Eeden was the sister of Pierre Rossouw and should not be mixed with his daughter whom married Retief.

Jan Jansz Van Eeden: - WB
He and his wife, Lijsbet Jans, were apparently sent back to
Europe in March 1677 because of problems caused by her
habitual drunkenness (C.G.de Wet, below) and in the muster
roll of 1677 they are noted to be ready to leave (VC 39, p.56,
'staet te vertrecken'). He does not appear in the muster rolls
of 1678 or 1679 (there are none for 1680 and 1681) but is back
in that of 1682, working in partnership with Mattijs Greef,
another blacksmith.

( The marriage ended in divorce in May 1684, on
grounds of her adultery.
