Jakob was probably brother of JohanPersson Soikkainen as indicated by Myhrvold. Their father would be Per Soikkainen, mentioned as "Per Pelle" by Jakob Persson.

The assumption by Saloheimo that Per Soikkainen in Brandval (1686) is the son of Hannes Soikkanen does not quite fit in the timeline that Per could be identical to Per Pelle, father of Johan and Jakob Persson.
