Isobel is indicated by Burke's Peerage in the Lovat line as being daughter of John Wemyss and Isabel Erskine. But within the Wemyss line, John & Isabel's daughter Isabel married Hugh Fraser 6th Lord of Lovat, who also married an Isabel Weymyss according to the Lovat line. I follow the Wemyss line as to John & Isabel's daughter, but leave Hugh's wife as Isobel daughter of John Wemyss. The John Wemyss who married Isabel Erskine was 2 generations later than this Isabel's father.
