About Iorwerth de Hulton
Iorwerth and Madog were the first of the family to relocate in Lancashire, after having been exiled from Wales in 1167. The implication, then, is that their father was dead (or he also would have relocated), and they were adults, so around 20. After going to Lancashire, Iorwerth was called Jorverth, the "Englishing" of his name.
See Burke's "Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Landed Gentry of Great Britain and Ireland," 1862. volume 1, p 741.
