Biography

Henry Elliott was a son of Henry Elliott and Deborah (York) Elliott, born on 12 April 1693 in Stonington, Connecticut.[1]

He probably is the Henry Elliot who married Elizabeth Stephens of Stonington. They were similar in age and his extended family appears to be the only family of this name living in Stonington at that time. Also, Henry and Elizabeth gave the name Hopestill to a daughter, and this is a name seen in the family of this Henry Elliot.

Elizabeth (Stephens) Elliot and Henry Elliot had at least three children, sons Henry and Jabez, and daughter Hopestill, who married Joseph Williams of Groton, Connecticut.[2]
