ELIZABETH KENNEDY
Alexander Stewart of Garlies married Elizabeth Kennedy (believed to have been a daughter of Kennedy of Blairquhan), as appears from letters granted in 1535 to William Stewart (of the Minto line), Bishop of Aberdeen, in which ' Sir Alexander Stewart of Garlies and Elizabeth Kennedy his mother ' are, inter alia, placed under royal protection, during the Bishop's absence on an embassy to France.
