By his marriage to Euphrosyne Doucaena Camaterina Alexios had three daughters:
Eirene Angelina, who married
- Andronicus Contostephanus, and
- Alexius Palaeologus, by whom she was the grandmother of Emperor Michael VIII Palaeologus.

a) EIRENE Komnene Angelina (-after 1203). Niketas Choniates names "Contostephanus Andronicus et Isaacius Comenus" as "duo generi" of Emperor Alexios[776]. Ephræmius records that "filiarum…Irene natu maior" married "Andronico…de Contostephanis"[777]. Niketas Choniates records the second marriage of "imperator…filias…Irenem" and "Alexio Paleologo"[778]. Georgius Akropolites records that "Palaeologo, qui despotæ dignitate…" married "imperatoris Alexii…filiarum illius…prima Irene"[779]. She went into exile in 1203.
m firstly as his second wife, ANDRONIKOS Kontostefanos, son of STEFANOS Kontostefanos, panhypersébastos, megas doux & his wife Anna Komnene (-[1196]). Mega drongarios.
m secondly (1199) as his second wife, ALEXIOS Komnenos Palaiologos, son of --- Doukas Palaiologos & his wife Eirene Komnene Kantakouzene (-[1201/04]). He was awarded the title despot in 1199.
