Edward Breck of Dorchester

"Edward1 Breck (RobertA, HughA) was baptized at All Saints, Wigan, Lancashire, in August 1596. as Edward Brike. He died in Dorchester, Massachusetts, 2 9th month [November] 1662. … Edward1 Breck immigrated to New England in 1638, settled in Dorchester. Massachusetts, and was made a freeman on 22 May 1639. He was on an undated list of Dorchester church members and must have been admitted before he was made a freeman."

Edward Breck married 1st to Mary and 2nd to Isabel, widow of John Rigby of Lancaster, England. Edward Breck was a man of wealth and influence in England. He came to America on the "James" in 1636 and settled in Dorchester, Mass.
