There is an extremely well researched and sourced series that has just concluded in the NYG&B Record covering the early Sicard/Secord family in America (beginning Volume 150 Issue 1 and ending Volume 151 Issue 3). In this the author argues that Catherine is not the daughter of Dirck Janse Woertman and Marritje (Theunisse) Teunis since she was not named in Dirck's will. She was assigned to these parents by previous researchers because she and Daniel Secord were sponsors for a child of Denys Dircksen Woertman. The author suggests instead that she was not sister to Denys but rather a step-sister, and was in fact the daughter of Dirck's second wife Anneken Aukes and her first husband Wynant Pieterszen.
Unknown author, "Marriage Agreement Between Dirck Janse Woertman and Annetie Aukes", New York Genealogical and Biographical Record Vol. 4, no. 1, p. 42 (1873): 4:43. Abstract:
Names children: John, Tunis, Peter, Lodwyck, Denys, harantie, femmetie, Elizabeth, Annike and Marritie, to whom he gives his house, lands, goods, chattels, &c., to be equally divided between them, "soe soon as the youngest child shall come to the years of one and twenty, and not before." Gives his son, John Woortman, twenty shillings in money over and above his share. Gives his Indian slave, Whan, "his freedom and liberty and a clear discharge from me, my heires and assigns, forever, from all servitude, slavery, or bondage or any other tye whatsoever, after my decease." He further gives him "one barrell of good andmerchantable flour, and five and twenty shillings in money." Gives his wife, Annetie, fifty pounds in money, to be paid by his ececutors before the division of his estate, according to his former contract mabe before marriage; also, "all that my house in Brookland, formerly belonging to Claes Symons, with half the orchard, and pasture likewise for three cowes, during her life, and all the goods and chattels that she brought to me at the day of marriage, I doe give and grant to her heyres and assigns forever, the increase of the cattle only excepted. Appoints his "loving friends, Jeronimus Rapale and Cornelius Seabring," his executors. Witnesses: henry ffilkin, Barent fulleman, Anne Smith.. Hereinafter cited as "Marriage Agreement."

Comments: See the witnesses and the name Harman, which could indicate Harman maybe was the grandfather...which could mean Harmtje was daughter of Harman and the above found marriage is indeed correct and Harmtje maybe after the death of her husband and emigration just adopted her husbands first name as her patronymic -last name , but it could also mean these just all are totally different people or maybe Jan later married Harmtie Jans ?
