Swaim CORNELIUS, born on Staten Island, the third eldest child and son of Anthony Swaim and Neeltje Jansz. He is shown as 21 on the 1706 Census and we highly suspect that he was older than 21 and more like he was about 23 years of age at that time. That he married c 1703 and migrated to New Jersey settling in the vicinity of Kingston, Fairfield Twp., Somerset Cty.That Cornelius, his wife, and other children for whom we have no record, his son Daniel and his wife, are all buried somewhere in the general area of Kingston, New Jersey.
Husband of Anna or Elizabeth Swaim
Cornelius died in 1762 and Letters of Administration for his estate were issued to his son Daniel and an Abraham Hankins. It is contained in Liber 11, page 337. It appears to have been written on a linen type of paper and is pasted into the Liber along with two other documents pertaining to two other individuals on the same page.Due to the age of the records, the Trenton Archives Library would not permit a Xerox copy of it to be made.J. F. Mullane saw the original on 18 Aug 1982 and the following is an exact copy he made of same:
"Daniel Swine
