Could not have been the daughter of William Cash, of Westmoreland, VA & Elizabeth Cash. Elizabeth died in 1750, before Comfort was born.
Comfort Cash married Joseph Carnes (1753 - 1838) 12 Nov. 1783 in Granville Co. N. C. They lived in Granville Co. N.C. in 1790, Mecklenburg Co. N.C. in 1800, and Carroll Co. in 1830.
Comfort was one of fourteen charter members of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, near Villa Rica, Georgia, in 1828. It is the oldest Baptist Church west of the Chattahoochee River in northwest Georgia.

In the 1860 Paulding County Ga. Census she is living in the home of R. Carns. She is buried at Old Harmony Grove Church Cemetery, Dallas, Paulding County, Georgia.
