Note - Christoffel was married twice first to Hester
Potgieter in 1733 and she died in 1735. After a decent interval
Chistoffel got married again on the 10th of November 1737 to Catharina
Blom and he wasted no time in getting his new wife pregnant. [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-6LX3-JMF?i=13&cc=1...] and[ https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSKD-WSMR-4?cc=282...]
So, it is really only Theunis b1c2d1 -- christened on 18 July 1734 -- and Maria
Magdelana b1c2d2 -- christened on 5 Feb 1736 -- that arose from the
first marriage. And Catharian Botha -- who was christened on 13 Oct
1749 -- most certainly had Catharina Blom as her mother and not Hester
Potgieter.

is a child of Theunis Botha, b bef 15 April 1686. Called Botha after his mother, Maria Kickers' , 1700 divorce from Jan Cornelisz (who is shown as his father on the birth certificate). At which time she said her 7 children were Frederich Botha's.
However, a recent DNA study by the University of Pretoria reveal him to have been the biological son of Ferdinandus Appel.
