George Home married Catherine Morrison, daughter of Sir Alexander Morrison of Prestongrange and Helonora Maule, on 14 Aug 1635 in Scotland. (Catherine Morrison was born in 1615 of Prestongrange and died after 1695 in Wedderburn Castle, Berwickshire, Scotland.)

1. Catherine married Sir George Home, son of Sir David Home 8th Baron of Wedderburn and Margaret Home, on 14 Aug 1635 in Scotland. (Sir George Home was born in 1615 in Wedderburn Castle, Berwickshire, Scotland and died on 3 Sep 1650 in Battle Of Dunbar, Scotland.)
2. Catherine next married James Bethune. (James Bethune was born of Balfour.)

Sir George Hume, the son of Sir David, did not live to inherit his father's estate, but was killed in the battle of Dunbar with his father. His wife was Catherine Morrison.

They had three children, as follows:

• 1. Catherine, m. John Bethune, of Fife.
• 2. Margaret Hume.
• 3. Sir George Hume, 8th Baron of Wedderburn, was born in 1651. Sir George Hume married Isobel, daughter of Sir Frances Liddell. of Ravensworth. He died in 1716, leaving two children, George and Francis.
