About Casimiro Lladoc

Bishop Lladoc was born in Pilar, Sorsogon, on 04 March 1894 to Florencio Lladoc and Marciana Magbanua. He studied at the Holy Rosary Seminary in Naga, where he finished in 1916. He was then ordained priest on 25 March 1918 at the Naga Cathedral by then-Caceres Bishop Bernard MacGinley. After his ordination, he served as Coadjutor of the St. John the Baptist Parish in Tabaco, Albay.

In 1919, he was appointed Secretary to Bishop MacGinley and Chaplain of the Shrine of Our Lady of Peñafrancia. It is in this role that Bishop Lladoc became one of the priests in-charge of organizing the Canonical Coronation of our Inâ. Particularly, it was him who had the Coronation Crown and Aureola made by Mr. Crispulo Zamora in Manila, which was, in turn, funded by the then-members of the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Association.

After the historic coronation of Our Lady, Bishop Lladoc would pursue further studies at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, where he would obtain a Licentiate in Canon Law (1928), a Bachelor of Science in Education (1928), a Master of Arts, and Doctor of Canon Laws (1929). In 1930, then-Caceres Bishop Francisco Reyes appointed him Vicar General of the Diocese of Caceres and Parish Priest of the St. John the Baptist Parish in Daet, Camarines Norte. In 1932, Bishop Reyes appointed him Parish Priest of the Cathedral in Naga, a position he would hold until 23 June 1933, when he was appointed the First Bishop of the new Diocese of Bacolod. He was consecrated at the Naga Cathedral on 16 September 1933 and was installed in Bacolod on 24 October 1933.

He would die in Manila on 22 September 1951.
