Benjamin Barstow

Mr. Barstow lived on the old homestead in Scituate, Massachusetts, and was a shipwright by trade, his yard being located near the 'N" river bridge. He is said to have been the father of twenty-one children.

Benjamin Barstow occupied his father's house, being that of his grandfather William and seems to have followed their trade, being a shipwright and having his yard near the North River Bridge. Tradition says that he had 21 children in all. Barry, after a search of the records of Scituate, Pembroke, and Hanover found 19 and assumes the remaining two died young.
