Biography

Bathsheba was likely born some time between 1712 and 1715, while her parents still lived in Portsmouth Rhode Island. She was listed as 'not of age' in her father's 1729 will,[1] but was clearly married to Timothy Ricketson by 1731.[2]

She married Timothy Ricketson, son of Jonathan Ricketson, on 3d 12m 1731/2 [3 Feb 1732] at Dartmouth.(https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G979-CWV8?i=389&cc...)[3]

Bathsheba's husband was expelled from their local Quaker community in 1747 and the family moved to Nine Partners in Duchess County, New York. By 1754, the Sherriff had seized the New York property for debts. The family moved again to the south, eventually settling in Richmond County, Georgia. At some point, Bathsheba died and Timothy remarried, as his wife is Martha in his 1786 will. [4]

Bathsheba's time and place of death are unknown.
