Barnaby married Sarah Hunnicut circa April 13, 1778, in Burley Friends Meeting, Prince George, Prince George County, VA, United States. Together they had the following children:

  1. Rebeckah Nixon;
  2. Samuel Nixon;
  3. David Nixon.

He died on February 13, 1807, in Black, Surry, Virginia, United States.
