I'm afraid the verification [of the ancestry of Philippe Mius d'Entremont] is going to be negative. There's a genealogy of the Colignys in *Europaeische Stammtafeln*, ed. Schwennicke, Band XIV [1991], Taf. 60-64. Gaspard II, Admiral of France, appears on Tafel 61. He married twice, his first wife (marriage contract dated at Fontainebleau on 15 October 1547) was Charlotte de Laval (d. 1568), by whom he had eight children. His second wife (married at La Rochelle 25 March 1571) was Jacqueline de Montbel (born at Paris in 1541, imprisoned in 1573 and died, still in captivity, at the Castello d'Ivrea in December 1599). Jacqueline was the widow of Claude de Batarnay, Count du Bouchage.
After Gaspard was killed in the St Bartholomew's night massacre (24 August 1572), Jacqueline gave birth to their only child, Beatrix de Coligny, at Saint-Andre-de Briord on 21 December 1572. Beatrix married at Turin on 30 November 1600 (contract dated 17 July 1600) Claude Antoine d'Albon, Baron de Mevouillon et de Montauban, who died 26 February 1618.
Claude Antoine, son-in-law of the Admiral of France, wasn't named "Mius DE MEULLON". What's your source that says he was?

Bibliothèque et Archives Canada < link >. "Lettre à Eugene à Hilaire d'Entremont" (Google translation from French)
NB Copy of a letter that was found at Eugene's to Hilaire d'Entremont very recently. It does not bear a signature. Father Clarence d'Entremont believes that it was written by his uncle Léander d'Entremont.
It is with great pleasure that I will tell you that I have succeeded, in my research on our family, in finding the complete genealogy of d'Entremont, a fact which the greatest historians of France and Canada have never been able to make progress on. ...
Beatrix, Countess of Montbel and d'Entremont, Marquise of Montellier and Saint-André-de-Briord, Lady-in-waiting to Catherine, Infanta of Spain, Duchess of Savoy, married, on November 30, 1600, Claude Antoine Bon, Baron de Meuillon, Governor of Marseille. From this marriage came several children, namely:

Philippe traveled to America in 1651. comment: he was not known as Philippe Mius and he did not travel to America.
- N............ of Meuillon, known as the Abbot of Entremont.
- Baron de Nottage.
- And n....... of Meuillon, Carmelite nun in Chaumont, founder of this convent. (The males of this house were obliged to bear the arms of Montbel and d'Entremont).
