Gotthard Kornelius Arthur von zur Mühlen (7/19 June 1820 – 1/13 January 1901) was a county councillor of the Estonian knighthood, secretary of the Estonian knighthood and a landlord of Piirsalu, from the Piirsalu branch of the Mühlen noble family (Haus Piersal).
His parents were Christian Ferdinand von zur Mühlen (1788–1837) and Pauline von Müller (1789–1871), landlord of Piirsalu.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu, cand. jur., was an alumnus of the Estonian corporation.
In 1845, he married Aurelie von Drenteln (1822–1914), two sons and four daughters who died young.
On April 14/26, 1853, he began to manage Piirsalu Manor, but mostly lived in Tallinn. [1]
He is considered the initiator of the construction of the Church of Piirsalu, the church was completed in 1863. In 2017, a memorial bench for Arthur von zur Mühlen was built in the churchyard.
