Famed 'Latin Lover' of the silent screen. He had a long career in films, spanning the years between 1912 (his film debut) and 1959. Moreno co-starred with some of the era's most famed leading ladies, including Greta Garbo, Pola Negri, Clara Bow, and Gloria Swanson. He was one of the bigger stars of the Vitagraph Studios who thanks to his good looks and solid build could also act in physically demanding roles if need be. He acted in numerous films beginning in 1912 and also appeared in silent serials like The House of Hate (1918) as Harvey Gresham and The Invisible Hand (1920) as John Sharpe, aka 'The Needle'. One of his more successful roles was as Cyrus Waltham Jr. in the 1927 film "It" which starred Clara Bow. During that time he starred in Come to My House (1927), Nameless Men (1928), The Midnight Taxi (1928) and as Prince Serge Orloff in the 1928 film Adoration. With the advent of talking pictures Moreno starred in many Spanish language versions of successful Hollywood films during the 1930's. In the 1940's he acted in the films Seven Sinners (1940), Undercover Man (1942) and Captain from Castile (1947) among others. His career began to slow down during the 1950‚s and some of his last performances were in Mark of the Renegade (1951), The Searchers (1956) and his final film, Catch Me If You Can (1959).
