Anthony Field
Birth: bef. 1638, at either England or Road Island, possibly the second son. Although both Frederick Clifton Pierce and Torrey record Anthony's birth as 1638, McCracken says he was born not later than early 1633, as he was granted land by his father on 12 February 1653/1654. The 1638 date comes from Pierce, who placed his birth in Rhode Island[1]
Death: btwn 24 July 1687 and 10 April 1689, at Queens County, Long Island, NY.
Anthony Field married Sarah Hedges sometime before 1663. Marriage to Susannah has been disproved. Sarah was named in Anthony's 24 July 1687 will, as wife, and was named executrix and residuary legatee for his estate. Will probated 10 April 1689 in Jamaica, Queens, NY.

- JOHN, b. 1659. He was ot Flushing, where his estate was valued in 1683, named in patent of Flushing, March 23, 1685 (?), made oath of allegiance in 1673 or 1674. (Received trom Governor Andros, between 1674 and 1681, a patent for land on Delaware Bay, New Jersey, to which state he probably removed.) He m. Margaret-- .

Note: Children: Benjamin, Thomas, Joseph and John; daughters Mary, Charity, Jane, Sarah, Jemima and Hannah were named in Anthony's 24 July 1687 will. These children although named as sons and daughters might include grand children. McCracken identified the husbands of daughters Charity and Jemima. He was unable to trace daughters Mary, Jane, Sarah and Hannah past the mention in their father's will, but though one of the four might have married Joseph Newton and had children by him, mentioned in the will of their brother Joseph Field.
