She passed away in Virginia about 1760.
Please note that the only document ever found where she SIGNED her name is in 1731, It reads: " ANNA BENTLEY "!
This is "Ann" / "Anne" / "Anna" m Bentley and is my GGGGGgm, the proved wife of the Daniel Bentley who dies c1723 Richmond Co VA - SEE: Bentley-778. I have no idea of the source of an "ANNE" - sometime listed as Jr's wife.... I have seen the last name "Miller" posted around the Daniel Sr and Jr Family (Never a source), as well as a possible last name for my GGGGGgm here (who may be a "Nash" because: 1 In 1723, Thomas Nash Sr purchased land in " the tenour and occupation of [New "widow"] Anne Bentley". and 2 In 1731, "before matrimony" to James Spicer, she gives her property to her 3 sons and signs "Anna Bentley" - witnessed by Thomas Nash SR and JR). George F. Bentley
There is an unknown Bentley progenitor of this well established 1600s Virginia family that includes the following four identifiable (proved by DNA) branches:
One of the two Daniels is 1704 "Dan of Glouster" and the two remaining patriarchs may be brothers. I know of no proved ancestor of any of these four. Regards, George F. Bentley
