The New England Historical and Genealogical Register - By Henry Fritz-Gilbert Waters, New England Historic Genealogical Society:
Thomas Sheafe was admitted to Cambridge in 1580, a Fellow of King's College. He succeeded George Darrell as rector of Welford, Berks, Aug., 1597; was also beneficed at another place in the same comity; and was Detailed Dean of Windsor, 29 March, 1614-15. He published "A Plea for Old Age " (London, 1639) ; and died soon after, 12 Dec., 1639, age 80, and was buried in St. George's Chapel, Windsor.
His will was proved 2 March, 1639-40 : To son Grendall lands in Hungerford and Inkpen, ??. Berks. Books at house at Windsor and Wickham, in Welford aforesaid, excepting book of Martyrs, etc., to wife. Son Grindall lease of house at Newbury, and £15 to bear the charge of degree of B.D. Son Thomas, cottage at Beneiideu, ??. Kent. Daughter Dorothy Whitfield blankets, etc. Seven children, Edmund, Griudall, Edward, and daughters Whitfield, Westley, Norwood and Hesilrigge. Residue of estate equally to be divided. Sons Thomas and Edmund executors.

Thomas married first) Mary Wilson, who was the sister of Rev. John Wilson of the First church in Boston, Mass, and a daughter of Rev. William Wilson, Canon of Windsor (and Isabel Woodhall Wilson). Mary's sister, Isabel, married (c 1608) Thomas Gibbs of Windsror, Berks, son of John & Mary (Elham) Gibbs of Elmeston, Kent.

Gardner Bartlett. In the Chapel of St. George at Windsor, on the north side, lies a gravestone on which in brass plates is the figure of a man and this inscription:
To me to live is Christ, and to dye is Gain Philip I. 21. Here underneath lies interr'd the body of Wm. Wilson, Doctour of Divinitie and Prebendarie of this Church by the space of 32 yeares. He had issue Isabell his Wife six sons and six daughters. He dy'd the 15th of May in the year of our Lord 1615, of his age the 73, beloved of all in his life, much lamented in his death. Who thinks of Deathe in Lyfe, can never Dye But mount through Faith, from Earth to heavenly Pleasure Weep then no more though here his Body lye His Soul's possest of never ending Treasure.
