- Thomas Knyvet, 1st Baron Knyvet (or Knevytt, Knyvett, Knevett, Knevitt; 1545[1] – 27 July 1622) was the second son of Sir Henry Knyvet of Charlton, Wiltshire, and Anne Pickering, daughter of Sir Christopher Pickering of Killington, Westmoreland. His niece, Catherine Knyvet, was married to Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk.[2] He attended Jesus College, Cambridge.[3] ....

- .... possession of the manor of Wigginton in 1337. Through inheritance and marriage the manor passed to Anne Pickering and her second husband, Sir Henry Knyvett. She sold the manor with others in 1541 to Henry VIII, but his heir, Edward VI, granted them back to Anne and Henry in 1548.[2]
