Anna McMurtry was born about 1768 in Botetourt, Bedford, Virginia. She married Jesse Webb, son of Richard Webb and Elizabeth Taylor. He was born about 1766 in Chestnut Hill, Jefferson, Tennessee. He died on March 25, 1848, in Chestnut Hill. Anna died on February 8, 1849, in Chestnut Hill.

Luther Webb, 5723 Sardis Rd., Charlotte, NC 28270 Ph# 704-364-1814, (He is a descendant of Jesse Webb) has an old bible that was printed in 1795 in Scotland. There is an entry that says it was the "property of John Webb the 1st, 1796". All of Jesse and Anna's children are recorded, with their birthdates, in this bible. You can tell the writing was done with a quill pen, and very old. No other entries are found.


Anna McMurtry, daughter of Joseph McMurtry and Susannah Patton, was born in 1768 in Butefourt or Botetourt, Bedford County, Virginia. Anna married Reverend Jesse Webb on August 14, 1783 in Green County, North Carolina. Ann Webb died February 08, 1849 at Chestnut Hill, Jefferson County, Tennessee.
