About Anna Maria Catrina ‘ Mary’ Beamer

"John Gerard Albaugh (Ann's father) became the head of our branch of the family. The first name of her mother is not known. Their home was in Frederick, Maryland. She was reared in a large family of boys & girls. After she & her siblings were grown, her father, John Gerard Albaugh, died. Her mother (Mrs. Albaugh) married again to a man who had the last name of 'Beamer'. He was a widower with a family by his first wife. Strange as it may seem, four of his boys, from his first wife, married four of the Albaugh girls. Ann Albaugh was one of the four girls who married into the Beamer family. It is not known which of the Beamer boys Ann married. Her sister, Elizabeth, married Adam Beamer. This entire family came to Carroll County, Ohio. They were early pioneers in the settling up of this county in Ohio. Ann's mother (Mrs. John Albaugh Beamer) died on the way to Ohio. Jane & her sisters & brothers and the Beamer family settled in Carrollton, Ohio & Dell Roy, Ohio & Sherodsville, Ohio." ~~quote taken from the family papers that my father gave to me before he died. Written by John G. Roof who is the son of Elizabeth Albaugh Roof. The title of the papers is: "An Outline of the Albaugh Family"
