Name Anglicised from Johann Heinrich Wilhelm as Henry Williams as are most the names in the German New River Settlement. He was the son of Hans Valentine WILHELM (b. 3 Oct 1688 in Finkenbach/Unkenbach, Germany) and Anna Christina FISCHER (b. 20 Jan 1690/91 in Finckenbach, Germany

We now know that Heinrich WILHELM was married twice.

His first wife was Cathrina HARMAN whom he married on January 23, 1741.

They had two children:

1. Maria, born November 3, 1741, and
2. John Philip, born January 28, 1743.

Cathrina apparently died during, or shortly after, the birth of her son, John Philip.

She was 13 when she arrived in america. she was married on 23 Jan 1739 in Swatara,twp. Lancaster co.Pa Rev.stoever.She died in childbirth .The family name wilhelm was changed to williams.
