Anita Pallenberg (6 April 1942 – 13 June 2017) was an Italian actress, artist, and model. A style icon and "It Girl" of the 1960s and 1970s, Pallenberg was credited as the muse of the Rolling Stones; she was the romantic partner of Stones multi-instrumentalist Brian Jones, and later, from 1967 to 1980, the partner of Stones guitarist Keith Richards, with whom she had three children.

Anita Pallenberg, a model and actress who was the former partner of Keith Richards, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, according to multiple news sources. She was 73.
Pallenberg was born in German-occupied Rome in 1944. She became a model in Germany. She later moved to New York City where she was involved with Andy Warhol’s Factory.
Pallenberg met guitarist Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones while on a modeling assignment in Munich, Germany, in 1965. Jones and Pallenberg became romantic partners. Pallenberg left Jones for the other guitarist in the Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, in 1967.
Richards and Pallenberg were partners until 1980. The couple had had three children together. Their son Marlon Marlon was born in 1969; daughter Angela was born in 1972; and son Tara Jo Jo was born in 1976. Tara Jo Jo died of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 10 weeks.
Pallenberg appeared in more than a dozen movies. She portrayed The Great Tyrant in Roger Vadim’s 1968 cult-classic sci-fi film “Barbarella.”
