Ane Brun, egentlig Ane Brunvoll (født 10. mars 1976) er en norsk sanger og låtskriver, født og oppvokst i Molde. Hun holder i dag til i Stockholm. De siste årene har hun blant annet spilt på Hultsfredsfestivalen og Moldejazz 2001/2005, by:Larm 2002/2005, Mono i Oslo, Debaser i Stockholm samt en rekke andre festivaler og steder i Sverige, Norge og ellers i Europa.

Karriere

Ane Brun har bodd i Stockholm siden 2000. Her startet hun plateselskapet DetErMine sammen med vokalisten fra The Tiny, Ellekari Larsson. DetErMine samarbeidet etter hvert med V2 Music. Debutalbumet hennes Spending Time With Morgan fikk god omtale og ble lansert over hele Europa i 2003. Den ble nominert i Sveriges musikkpris "Manifest" i 2003. Hennes andre album A Temporary dive ble lansert I Europa i 2005. Etter bare tre uker solgte den til gull bare i Norge. I november 2005 ble Duets lansert. Duets består av 10 duetter med ti ulike artister. Sangen «Lift Me» med det nord-norske bandet Madrugada, ble en radiohit. Albumet Duets består av sangprestasjoner med: Teitur, Tobias Fröberg, Liv Widell, Wendy McNeill, Ron Sexsmith, Syd Matters, Tingsek, Ellekari Larsson fra The Tiny, Madrugada og Lars Bygden. I de siste årene har Ane Brun turnert over hele Europa. Hun ble invitert til flere festivaler som The Lowlands Festival (Nederland), Hultsfredsfestivalen (Sverige), Öya, Quart, Moldejazz, Norwegian Wood (NOR). I september 2005 hjalp hun til med Keren Ann på hennes UK-turne og på Olympia i Paris. I desember 2005 var hun medhjelper for a-ha på Wembley Arena i London.

Ane Brun ble kåret til beste kvinnelige artist på Spellemannprisen 2005 for albumet A Temporary Dive og dessuten vant klassen årets hit samme år for duetten «Lift Me» med Madrugada. For samme album vant hun klassen pop under Alarmprisen 2006. Hun er i tillegg blitt nominert som beste norske aktør på European MTV Music Awards 2005, tidenes best norske sanger på NRK og beste svenske kvinnelige popartist for Grammies. Ane Brun, real name Ane Brunvoll (born 10 March 1976), is a Norwegian singer/songwriter, born and raised in Molde, Norway. She lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She co-runs a record company, DetErMine Records ("It is my" in Norwegian), alongside Ellekari Larsson of The Tiny.

After a few years of numerous live stints in Sweden and Norway and several non-official EP releases her first official album, Spending Time with Morgan, was released at the end of May 2003 in Scandinavia, and in various European countries in the autumn of 2003. The album was released via DetErMineRecords which is licensed to V2 Music for USA distribution.

History

Ane started her musical career fairly late. It wasn't until she had turned 21 she took up acoustic guitar. Her first official live appearances were in 1998 on the streets of Barcelona and San Sebastian.

After moving to Bergen she started composing her own material and joined the Norwegian band Damsels in Distress. In 2000 Ane moved to Stockholm and began making a living performing live music. She has worked together with several other artists, such as Norwegian popgroup a-ha, Ron Sexsmith, Madrugada and Koop.

Ane Brun's cover version of "True Colors" was featured in an advert for Sky+ HD.

Ane Brun's song 'Lullaby For Grown-Ups' was featured in an advert advertising Channel 4's Horror Season.

Ane Brun lends vocals in the song, "Innan Du Gar" from Theresa Andersson's "Hummingbird, Go!" album.
