Laffoon - JimLaffoon@aol.com Text: Mrs. Amey Lee Fawcett Veazey, 77, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in her home in Madisonville. She had been ill for about three years. Mrs. Veazey was born in Hopkins Co., Ky. Aug. 22, 1896, the daughter of the late Joe and Rosie Lee Mangum Fawcett. She was a member of Madisonville First General Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Tommie Veazey, Madisonville; a daughter Mrs. Lucille Cox, Madisonville; a son, Joe Veazey, Louisville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Nance, Manitou, Mrs. Lala Veazey, Louisville, and Mrs. Eula Hall, Madisonville; several nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Chapel by Rev. O. R. Fulcher assisted by the Rev. O. L. Dunan, with burial in Oakley Home Cemetery near Manitou.
