About Allicia Estcourt

The Estcourt family were known to be living at Shipton Moyne, Gloucestershire from 1303. Walter de la Estcourt held half the fee of the manor of Estcourt.

By 1303 the estate had been divided between Walter de la Estcourt and John Beauboys. (fn. 35)....

John Beauboys who held the other part of the knight's fee in 1303 (fn. 75) was succeeded between 1332 and 1342 by his widow Isabel. (fn. 76) In 1352 she released the lands to their daughter Isabel who married in turn Warin FitzWarin (fl. 1357) and William of Speckington (fl. 1374). In 1399 Isabel farmed her land in Shipton Moyne to her son and eventual heir John Beauboys (fl. 1419). '''John's property passed to his wife Eleanor, (fn. 77) who held it in 1429, (fn. 78) and then to his daughter Alice, (fn. 79) who by 1414 had married John Estcourt of Estcourt manor''', (fn. 80) thereby leading to the reunion of the property with the other part of the fee.

Forty-three acres of land at Hillcourt in the west part of the parish were held in the later Middle Ages by the owners of Shipton Moyne manor from the Estcourt and Beauboys families
