About Alice de Merlay
Alice de Merlay (b. 1256 - d. before 1272), was ten-years-old when her father died in 1266.[1] Lewis (n.d.), citing Richardson, claims that she died in 1268 (s.p), while married to Marmaduke de Thweng.[2] If so, she was just twelve-years-old when she passed.
Alice de Merley was born circa 1258 at of Morpeth, Northumberland, England; Age 8 in 1266.3 She married Sir Robert de Thwenge, son of Sir Marmaduke de Thwenge, Lord Kilton and Lucia de Brus, before December 1265; They had no issue.2,3 Alice de Merley died circa 7 February 1268
