The article by F. N. Craig,in NEHGS, vol 142, p. 241: "JOAN FOLIOT....Alice, her daughter by John Maltravers, then aged 21 (Chester Inq.p.m., file 1, no. 17, cited in Complete Peerage, 8[1932]:581, note c). A letter from D. Crook of the Public Record Office, dated February 1986, states the the information from the inquisition (modern red. CHES 3/1, no. 17) in the Complete Peerage is accurate in all respects except the Alice's age is given even more closely; she had become 21 at the previous Michelmas (29 September 1348)." That means Alice was born 29 September 1327. (1)
