About Alice Becher
Alice Heron was the daughter of Thomas Heron. She married Henry Becher, said to be the son of John Becher. This marriage took place before 1544 as Thomas Heron refers to Harry Becher as his son-in-law in his will written that year.

- Edward Becher (b.1544), Married France Brooke
- William Becher (1548-1631), married Judith Quarles
- Bartholemew Becher (b.1550), an attorney, married Miss Miller, possibly Alice, may have gone to Ireland
- Elizabeth Becher, (1540-1612), married (1) Clement Kelk and (2) Thomas Harrison
- Mary Becher (b.1549), married Chidiock Wardor
- Margaret Becher (1551-1621) married Sir Thomas Dabridgecourt, the brother of her brother Fane Becher's wife Susan.
- Mabell Becher (1553-1594) married Sir Richard Norton, Baronet
- Fane Becher (1546-1631) an attorney, married Susan Dabridgecourt, founded the town of Bandon Bridge in Ireland, a Protestant village.
- Dorothy Becher, died in infancy
The memorial inscription in St Christopher-le-Stocks read "Here lies the Bodies of Henry Becher, Alderman and the late Sheriff of London and of Alice his 1st wife, one of the daughters to Thomas Heron of Edgecombe in the County of Surrey, Esquire, by who he had ten children. After whose decease he married with Jane the widow of Oliver Lovibond of London, Gent, with whom he lived three years, and died the 15th day of January, Anno Dom. 1570."
