NOTE: The THOMAS FAMILY RECORD, which comes down in my family compiled by Maud B. Thomas, great-grand-daughter of Elisha Thomas and Alice Glasscock has been a major source of information for this family. Except for a couple very insignificant issues, her records have proved to be very reliable. However, a new source has come to my attention that states directly that "Alcy Thomas widow of Elisha died January 18, 1849". The source is the original "US Pension Record, 1848-1862" for Alcy Thomas. Since this seems to be a more reliable source at this point, I have changed Alice's date of death from 1858 to the 1849 date.

Elisha Thomas born July 25, 1760 VA. Came to Kentucky with his parents, with Daniel Boone Expedition, Witherspoons, Locketts and others in 1771. Later settled in Wayne County, Kentucky. Fought in Revolutionary War. Wounded at Bunker Hill. Married Alice Glasscock June 1, 1788. Alice Glasscock born March 17, 1766 York County, VA. Elisha Thomas died December 25, 1834 Wayne County, Kentucky. Alice Thomas died age 92 in 1858, Wayne County, Kentucky. She lived with her eldest son Evan Thomas from time of the death of her husband until her own death. She received a Revolutionary Pension for her husband's service.
