About Alexander Ogilvy of Duntrune
ALEXANDER OGILVY OF DUNTRUNE
Alexander Ogilvy of Duntrune, here treated, is the son of Christian Glen RMS 1424-1513: charter number 821 It seems quite likely, therefore, probable even, that he is the son of David Ogilvy of Balmuto The lands of Kinneff appear to have been in his possession on the day that he died, NRS: GD26/3/1002 and, consequently, he may occasionally have been noticed as Alexander Ogilvy of Kinneff. Stirnet: Ogilvy 01
Death
A date and place of death has not been identified for Alexander Ogilvy of Duntrune, here treated. He was alive on 11 June 1475, NRS: GD45/16/3047 but it would appear that he died unmarried and without lawful issue before 18 March 1476, when David Ogilvy of Inchmartine is noticed as his heir of entail.
