Alexander Leslie, Lord Balgonie was the son of Alexander Leslie, 1st Earl of Leven and Agnes Renton.[1]
He married Lady Margaret Leslie, daughter of John Leslie, 6th Earl of Rothes and Lady Anne Erskine, in 1636.[1]
He died after 1642.[2] He died circa 12 January 1644.[1]
He was styled as Master of Leven.[3] He was styled as Lord Balgonie.[3]

Colonel Alexander Anderson, of a noble Scottish family (his mother was a Sinclair of Mourtell), is mentioned in 1661 sa com- mander of Nyenskans in Ingermanland, and was introduced into the Swedish House of Nobles 1668. His son Herman Alexander was lieutenant-captain and died in Karelen 1688. His son Alex- ander Magnus, major of the Österbotten regiment, went over ni 1712 to the Russians, but was sent to Siberia. Many of the sons w e r e officers.
