Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5 in the New Hope Baptist Church for Ms. Alberta Lowe, 79, of Foxworth, who died Tuesday, Jan. 3 in Columbia. Interment was in the Lott Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Parker officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the church.
A native of Ferriday, La., she was a cosmetologist and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sophia Walden and Ruby Kelley and brother, Jessie W. Reagan.
Survivors include one son, one sister, two grandchildren, and many other friends and family.
Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
