2004 Aksel Pilliroog of Palatine Memorial services for Aksel Pilliroog, 80, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 144 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. Born May 28, 1923, in Tallinn, Estonia, he died Friday, March 12, 2004, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private. His great sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all those he met and knew, and he will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Juta Pilliroog of Palatine; children, Maret Canfield of Texas, Ellen Hansen of Mundelein, Anne (Norm) Baron of Algonquin and Kevin (Michelle) Pilliroog of Hoffman Estates; grandchildren, Thomas, Maria, Lindsay, Dylan, Kara and Karl; and great-grandchildren, Ariel, Dylan Jr. and Joshua. He was preceded into heaven by his parents; and grandson, Kyle. Memorial visitation will be from noon until the time of the services Thursday, at the church.
