Aymeric I, vicomte de Châtellerault was born in 1077. He was the son of Boson de la Rochefoucaud, vicomte de Châtellerault and Ænor de Thouars. Viscount of Châtellerault at County of Poitiers, France, between 1092 and 1151. Aymeric I, vicomte de Châtellerault married Dangereuse "Maubergeonne" de l'Isle Bouchard, vicomtesse de Châtellerault, daughter of Bartholomew de l'Isle Bouchard and Gerberge (?), in 1109; His 2nd.1 Aymeric I, vicomte de Châtellerault died on 7 November 1151 at the Notre Dame de Noyers at age 74 years. Died as a monk.

AIMERY [I] (-Abbaye de Noyers 7 Nov before 1144, bur Abbaye de Noyers). "Bossonis vicecomitis, Aimerici filius eius, Adenordis vicecomitissæ" witnessed a charter dated [1082] under which "Erchembaldus Grenulla" donated property to Saint-Jean d'Angély[780]. Vicomte de Châtellerault. "Boso vicecomes et uxor eius Adenors et filii eorum" donated property to St Cyprien by charter dated 1088 subscribed by "Bosonis vicecomitis et Aenoris uxoris eius et filiorum ipsorum Aimerici et Bosonis et sororis eorum Gisberge"[781]. "Willelmus Goscelinus monachus Sancti Cipriani" donated property to St Cyprien by charter dated [1088] subscribed by "Boso vicecomes, Ainors uxor, filii ipsorum Aimericus, Boso et Petrus"[782]. "Castri Araldus vicecomes…Boso…cum uxore Adenorde et filio Aimerico" donated property "allodium…in Brigisensi pago apud villam Culturas" to the abbey of Saint-Florent near Saumur by undated charter subscribed by "filii eius minoris Bosonis"[783]. "Aimerico vicecomes de Castro Arraudi" donated property to the abbey of Fontevraud with the consent of "Boso fratre meo" by charter dated to [1108/1115/16][784]. m AMAUBERGE [Dangerose], daughter of ---. "Aimericus Castri Araudi vicecomes" donated property to Saint-Denis en Vaux on the advice of "matris mee Adenoris et uxoris mee Dangerose fratrumque meorum Bosonis et Petri" by charter dated 1109[785]. She left her husband to live with Guillaume IX Duke of Aquitaine, Guillaume VII Comte de Poitou, for which he was excommunicated. Orderic Vitalis recounts that "Hildegarde Ctss de Poitou" complained to the synod of Reims, held in Oct 1119 by Pope Calixtus II, that her husband had abandoned her for "Malberge wife of the vicomte de Châtellerault"[786]. Aimery [I] & his wife had five children:
a) HUGUES [II] (-before 1176). His parentage is confirmed by the charter dated [1170/75] under which "Ugo vicecomes Castri Eiraudi" confirmed a donation to the abbey of Bécheron by "Aimericus pater meus" with the consent of "Guillelmo filio meo"[787]. Vicomte de Châtellerault.

"Hugo vicecomes Castri Airaudi et Radulphus frater eius…" witnessed the charter dated 27 May 1152 under which "Alienora…ducissa Aquitanorum et Normannorum" donated property to Saint-Maixent[788]. "Uxor mea Gricia…" consented to the donation by "Ursio dominus Fracte Vallis" by charter dated 1186[790]. m URSO Sire de Fréteval et de Meslay, son of NIVELON [III] Sire de Fréteval & his [first/second] wife [Agatha ---/Adelais ---] (-after 1186).
iii) SIBYLLE (-10 May 1219). The Chronicon Gaufredi Vosiensis names "Sibylla filia Radulfi de Faya, qui fuit frater Guillelmi Vicecomitis de Castelleyrac" as wife of "Ebolus qui ex baptismo Archambaldus"[791]. Her marriage is dated by the 1174 charter under which "Ebolus vicecomes Ventedornensis" granted exemptions from taxes to Notre-Dame de Dalon with the consent of "vicecomitissa" (unnamed)[792]. Her name is confirmed by the Chronique de Geoffroy de Vigeois which names "Ebolo filio Eboli et Sybillæ"[793]. m ([1170/74]%29 EBLES [IV] "Archambaud" Vicomte de Ventadour, son of EBLES [III] Vicomte de Ventadour & his second wife Adelais de Montpellier (-1214 or after).

c) ELEONORE (-after Mar 1130). “Willelmus…dux Aquitanorum” donated property to “ecclesiæ B. Hilarii de Cella” (La Celle, outside Poitiers) granted by “Gaufredus avus et Guillelmus pater mei” by charter dated 3 Mar 1130, subscribed by “Willielmi ducis Aquitanorum, Aenordis comitissæ, Alienordis filiæ eorum, Wilelmi Aigres filii eorum”[794]. Aumary I de Rochefoucauld was Viscount of Châtellerault. He was humiliated when Duke William IX of Aquitaine abducted his wife, Dangereuse, and kept her as his mistress.

Aimery was born to Boson II de Châtellerault and his wife, Aleanor de Thouars. His paternal grandparents were Hugues I de Châtellerault and his wife, Gerberge. His maternal grandparents were Aimery IV, Viscount of Thouars and Aremgarde de Mauléon.

Aimery I de Rochefoucauld født ca. 1077, død 1151 var en fransk adelsmann i middelalderen, vicomte av Châtellerault og vasall under Vilhelm IX av Aquitaine.
Han var sønn av vicomte Boson II de Châtellerault og dennes hustru Eleanora de Thouars. Han giftet seg med grevinne Dangereuse de l'Isle Bouchard (1079-1153). Med Dangereuse fikk han datteren Ænor eller Aenor de Châtellerault.
Hans hustru Dangereuse ble røvet av hertug Vilhelm IX av Aquitaine, og Dangereuse var kanskje ikke et uvillig offer for den amorøse trubaduren Vilhelm IX. Hertugens sønn, Vilhelm X, var mindre fornøyd med at faren satte sin lovlige hustru tilside for elskerinnen, men i 1121 lot hertugen sin sønn Vilhelm X bli gift med datteren til Dangereuse, Aenor de Châtellerault. Datteren Aenor fikk tre barn med Vilhelm X, to døtre og en sønn. Da sønnen døde fire år gammel ble den eldste datteren arving til hertugdømmet Aquitaine. Eleanora av Aquitaine ble siden gift først med den kommende franske kongen og deretter med den blivende engelske kongen.
Aimery I fikk følgende barn med Dangereuse: Aenor de Châtellerault (født 1103 - død etter 1131) Aimable de Châtellerault (1105 - død ukjent) Hugues II, vicomte de Châtellerault (1110-1176) Raoul av Châtellerault, seigneur de Faye-la-Vineuse (1112 - 1185)[2]
