About Adelina Lorkin
- Daughter of Friedrich Schulz (1839-1914) and Ernestine Augusta Schulz (nee Meier) (1828-1896).
- Arrived in Australia with her family on board the Herschel on 7 March 1872, aged 4.
- Wife of Ferdinand Christian Nickelson (aka. Nickel) and Charles William Lorkin. Note that Ferdinand 'disappeared' at some stage after their 13th child was born in 1907, and in 1914 Adelina remarried to Charles Lorkin.
Shipping List - Herschel, 7 March 1872 - Schulz: Free Settlers

- Auguste 9 1862 – Auguste Schmidtke we have 1862 as her birth year recorded but no other records. Not sure if she ended up in New Zealand as well. She was definitely not August Heinrich as he came out with his wife on a separate ship (the Elizabeth in 1878) and they ended in in South Australia
- Adelina 4 1868 (1867) - Adelina we have a birth year of 1868 recorded but this was assumed from her age when she came out being 4
