About Abraham Wing
ABRAHAM WING (908), son of Edward and Edith (Tucker) Wing, was born in Sandwich, 5th month, 3, 1780. Abraham Wing resided all his life at Scorton in the old homestead built there by his father, and now known as the "Blake house." While living at Scorton, a frequent visitor at Abraham's house was Daniel Webster, who spent much time in this vicinity in the shooting season. Abraham married for his first wife, Abigail, daughter of Asa and Betsey (Collins) Shove, of Berkley, Bristol County, born 2d month, 3, 1 775, and had by her two children.
After the death of his first wife, Abraham married, second, in 3d month, 1811, Rebecca, the daughter of Jonathan Tucker of Dartmouth, born 5th month, 17, 1791, and by her he had twelve children. Abraham's first wife, Abigail, di:d 151 month, 1, 1808. The children of Abraham Wing were:
