About Abraham Strickler

Came to America on the "Friendship" in 1727. He settled in Pennsylvania, attracted by William Penn's settlement. He emigrated to Virginia and was one of the first settlers in the Massanutten are of the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. Abraham's home was known as Egypt Bend.

UPDATE 8 NOVEMBER 2022:

The original notes are above, but I'd like to post based on the research that i and others have done, including that of multiple publications and genealogists.

It is debated as to the year of Abraham's arrival, though it appears he came with his brother Conrad. The arrival could've been as early as 1724-1725.

There is no evidence that he had the middle name Lohrer and it is even debated if his mother had the maiden surname Lohrer.

His home was at Egypt Bend of the Shenandoah River but was known as Fort Egypt.
